The Galaxy S25 series, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, is anticipated to launch on January 5, 2025. This information comes from a recent online survey conducted by Samsung regarding pre-order promotions,

indicating that pre-orders will also begin on the same day. Consequently, this exciting revelation not only emphasizes the device’s sleek aesthetic but also sets the stage for its highly awaited launch.

Design and Display 

The Galaxy S25 Plus adopts a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, featuring flat sides and prominent camera rings, which has sparked mixed reactions among users. Notably, the aluminum dummy units for the new models lack certain elements, such as a SIM card slot, indicating that Samsung is pursuing a minimalist design direction.

Meanwhile, the S25 Ultra will undergo a significant design shift with rounded corners, while both the S25 and S25 Plus will retain a more minimalist aesthetic.Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Plus boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, enhancing the overall user experience. This combination of sleek design and advanced display technology positions the S25 Plus as a competitive flagship model in the upcoming Galaxy series.

Camera and Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus largely retains the design of the S24 Plus, with minimal changes. It will feature a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera,

and a 10-megapixel front camera for selfies.This camera setup remains almost identical to that of the previous model, showcasing a slightly altered camera design that some users find unappealing. However, this change results in a thinner camera bump measuring 1.8 mm, compared to the 2.4 mm bump on the S25 Ultra.

Battery and SIM

The battery capacities for the Galaxy S25 series remain unchanged from last year, with the base model featuring a 4,000 mAh battery, the S25 Plus equipped with a 4,900 mAh battery, and the S25 Ultra holding a 5,000 mAh battery. Additionally, the charging speeds also stay the same; the S25 maxes out at 25W, while both the Plus and Ultra support 45W charging.

This consistency in specifications has sparked debate, especially as other brands have made advancements in this area.Images of the S25 Plus, along with the S25 and S25 Ultra, show no SIM card slot, leading to speculation about a potential transition to eSIMs. However, this design choice likely caters to the needs of case manufacturers, ensuring that physical SIM cards will still be available for users.

The code name “Paradigm” for the S25 series suggests Samsung may be aiming to set a new standard in this lineup. There is notable news for Android users regarding Google’s Gemini live feature, which is now being offered for free, despite previously being behind a paywall.
